The Race
The atmosphere in Valezan on Saturday was both sporty and festive.
For more than a week the young children trained in the village streets and asked Dédé 's advices on bicycle repairs, while the adults were already "well prepared".
And then at 17h, all this small world did their maximum in the race adapted to their age group. Crowds was there, both village people and tourists animated by the same enthusiasm, to encourage and applaud the competitors. Under the heat and wind, it was not easy to finish and everyone had to do their utmost.
Then, the trophy ceremony allowed everyone to be awarded for their efforts, thanks to the generosity of numerous sponsors and smiles were on everyone's faces as they drank fruit juice, sangria with "paché" (local wine) and had little treats prepared by Chantal .
